Since UIG was founded in 1980, the company has experienced tremendous sales growth. Starting with only a handful of agents in one state we have now grown to almost 10,000 contracted career and independent agents. What is the secret of our success? Simply put, hard work, dedication and a focus on the most exciting market segment in the insurance industry - the Senior Age Market. Our focus is specializing in insurance products that serve this market best, such as Long Term Care Insurance, Home Health Care, Medicare Supplement, Life and Annuities. Most recently, we have added to our portfolio of products the new Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Medicare Part D) and Medicare Advantage plans such as Private Fee for Service (PFFS), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO’s) and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO’s).

In addition, other key components to our success include a well-orchestrated marketing system, a seasoned sales management team, a tight administrative unit and above all, the highest standards in ethical market conduct. Over the last 25 years, UIG has mastered the ability of managing and growing two distinct distribution channels with the results of building a stronger company. As we look around the nation, we find very few senior marketing organizations that can successfully manage both a Career Agent and Brokerage unit. For over 25 years UIG’s Brokerage Division has provided quality Senior Age insurance products and services to nearly 10,000 independent agents.
